It's hard to experience really bad weather in Oaxaca, so if it's rain and storms you're after then you better head elsewhere. For all those in search of a mild, warm and mainly dry climate, the weather in Oaxaca will suit you perfectly!

Throughout the Valles Centrales and Oaxaca City things remain warm and dry all year, the rainiest season being between May and September. However, even during these months you are unlikely to experience more than a light shower. Along the coast things hot up a bit more, get wetter and more humid so make sure you pack light, airy clothing and some waterproofs. But don't worry - we are not talking extreme weather conditions here, Oaxaca weather is generally comfortable for walking around in and even during the coldest months (December and January), you will still find highs of 25ºC (7ºF) and nothing below 8ºC (47ºF).

All in all, Oaxaca weather offers one of the nicest climates in which you can enjoy the charm of Oaxaca city and the beautiful surrounding towns and landscapes all year round.
